Ahhhh...Jack and Connie. A match made...on a boat! Yes, Jack and Connie got married on May 27, 2017 on the Victorian Princess during a gorgeous afternoon cruise. The forecast must have changed 10 times leading up to their day but the rains parted ways and beautiful sunshine was on tap for their wedding ceremony. Blue skies, only a few clouds, and 73 degrees. Perfect!
They had some great wedding details set up on the boat. Connie's favorite flower is the Gerbera Daisy so she had a bunch of those flowers on hand in all different colors. And their selection of sweets made it hard for us to only photograph them and not eat them!
Jack and Connie had about 60 people in attendance (mostly due to safety capacity limitations on the ship) which seemed like it would be a really tight fit on the 2nd level of the Victorian Princess but, once everyone was settled, it wasn't too bad at all.
Jack is ready to DO THIS!
The ceremony was very nice and clean and, before we knew it, Jack and Connie had tied the knot!
After the ceremony (and necessary sharing on social media to ensure their announcement got out to their friends right away), it was time for some fun photos on the boat. We braved the hot, bright sun and went to the top deck to make some magic happen. BIG shoutout to my wife, 2nd shooter, and photographer assistant to the stars, Nicole, for her expertise and creativity throughout the day. Many of these shots wouldn't have happened without her. Great job, babe!
Wedding day shenanigans...the bouquet matches his shirt! Accident? Or planned?????
Once the captain expertly docked the boat (seriously...you couldn't even feel it touch the dock bumpers...flawless!), we captured some formal photos on the 2nd level of Dobbins Landing including this awesome group shot. It pays to have a good countdown system in place to make sure nobody blinks when I press the shutter. LOL!
To cap off the night, we followed the crew down to Coconut Joe's where many of Jack and Connie's friends gathered to help celebrate their wedding day.
Certainly not your traditional wedding...but what a blast. Jack and Connie were great to work with, went with the flow when some of the schedule changed, and obviously had their eye on the big prize...tying the knot. They are having a more formal wedding reception later in June for more family and friends to help celebrate their big day. It'll also include a formal cutting of the cake...and I wonder if they'll end up wearing the cake. We'll soon find out!
