Ivy's Senior Portraits

We had the pleasure of shooting senior portraits for Ivy recently. We had our session booked a few weeks in advance with the hopes that we'd have good weather on May 16th. It worried us because it's been an especially rainy spring here in Erie. The forecast changed 10 times before our date (typical for Erie) but the skies cleared up perfectly for our session...76 degrees, sunny, and only a few clouds in the sky! It felt good to sweat after a long winter. LOL!

We began our session as Asbury Woods which is a beautiful nature preserve on the West side of Erie. Lots of walking trails and decking through the forest. It's really beautiful all year round. Ivy plays the violin so she wanted to incorporate that into some of her photos. Bringing props like this to senior portrait sessions really helps put a timestamp on the senior's personality at the time so I always encourage that for my sessions.

We spent about an hour going to various areas and got some really great photos expressing Ivy's personality.

After finishing at Asbury Woods, we decided to take advantage of the great weather and beautiful sky going by going to Barracks Beach on Presque Isle State Park. Lots of great photo opportunities here and the weather was still perfect for some warm sunshine photos!
